A Simple Explanation of Herd Immunity to Defeat Covid-19

Herd immunity is counter-intuitive. It is hard to understand. Here's how it works:

Rather than trying to prevent the spread of the virus, you allow the spread of the virus. In the case of a highly infectious virus that is hell-bent on infecting everyone, the only way to kill it is when more people than not have caught the virus and either passed away or beat it. When most people in the population have beat the virus, it has nowhere to jump to, no one to infect. At that point, the viral line dies out and no one needs to worry about it.

The best way to fight the covid-19 virus is NOT to quarantine everyone, hoping that people will not catch it.  On the contrary, the best way to beat the virus is to allow people to catch it. We now know that less than 1% will be unable to fight the virus and will tragically pass away. We also know that approximately one third of the people who catch it have such a mild case that they don't even know they have it. The rest will catch a dickens of a bad cold but will get over it. Once they get over it, their body has learned how to defend itself and they will be able to fend off future attacks.

This contrasts with taking a vaccination that confers limited immunity. With a vaccination your body has not learned how to fight the virus; it's merely borrowing temporary immunity that will likely need future boosts in the form of annual vaccinations.

While it made sense in January, February, and March to slow the rate of infection in order to secure adequate medical resources for the pandemic, we are now in the position to go forward with herd immunity.

We should be putting our resources into confirming which treatments do the best job of healing those who are hit the hardest by the virus, at which point the death rate can be controlled to far less than the 1% it is now.

We can also make antibody test kits available over the counter, so people can monitor their own status. At that point, people who have had the virus and successfully beat it can breathe easy, knowing they will not die from this silent killer. They won't die because they didn't die, and the antibody tests prove that.

But what about the vulnerable populations? Do we all need to stay on lockdown in order to protect grandma and grandpa and those with severely compromised immune systems?  No, we do not. Society can go about its normal business. The only ones who need to stay on lockdown are those who are vulnerable and afraid. The lockdowns should not amount to house arrest. It is up to the vulnerable or, if they are incapacitated, to their legal and medical caretakers, to protect them. Everyone else needs to go out into society.

There is no need to avoid others for fear of catching the virus. There is certainly no need to institute a system of surveillance and "safe to pass" papers. No Big Brother controls "for our own good," thank you anyway. Neither is there a need to wait until there is a vaccine before getting back to work. With herd immunity, there is no need to fear the virus at all. We have far more to fear by losing our liberty and our ability to make our own decisions.

Keep in mind, I am not advocating that everyone has to go back to work. I am advocating continued precautions for the vulnerable, but these must be voluntary, not mandatory. Involuntary house arrest is not the way our country works.

Meanwhile, if you are fearful about catching the virus, there are things you can do to strengthen your own immune system. These are the same protocols you've been told before--eat healthy foods, exercise, avoid excessive alcohol and smoking, take vitamin C, vitamin D, and zinc. Build up your immunity so that when you inevitably catch the corona virus, and you will, you can defeat it instead of becoming one of its victims. Take responsibility for your own health--don't rely upon the pharmaceutical industry to save you. Don't insist others lose their jobs just because you are fearful. You can do better than that. Build your health now; don't be a helpless victim huddling in your home. There's no time like the present!

Your Risk of Dying from All Causes

I hope you realize by now that we have overreacted to the covid-19 virus. Again, as a fractal of the human body itself, our nation is experiencing a cytokine storm as it fights the virus. At this point, more people are in danger dying of from our overreaction and economic collapse than from the virus itself.

And guess what? The danger of covid-19 was vastly overestimated. As it turns out, while highly infectious, serious complications are so rare than you may have already experienced the illness without even noticing. Was that a cold or flu or allergies you came down with in January or February? Could just as easily have been covid. Now that anti-body testing has begun to show how many asymptomatic people there are, the morbidity rate of covid-19 has dropped to under 1%.

Those areas that have been tested for anti-bodies indicate that as many as one third of the population has already had the virus. In other words, this virus is going to be ubiquitous and its effects will not be noticeable to a third of the people who contract it.

Consider that your personal risk of dying from heart disease, diabetes, and cancer is far greater than dying from covid. You are also far more likely to contract and even die from the annual flu. For that matter, dying from hospital error is also far greater than dying from covid. Did you know that over 250,000 people a year die from preventable medical mistakes in American hospitals?

And don't even get me started on all of the ways that suffering and death may unexpectedly come upon you--from drug overdoses to alcoholism to car accidents to falling off ladders while trimming your backyard trees. You have a greater chance of winding up in the hospital and dying from any of these threats than you do from the covid virus.

In a recent article published on Dr. Mercola's controversial website, Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai explains the systems biology approach to the problem:

As noted by Ayyadurai, systems biology tells us that one size does not fit all. “We need to move to the right medicine for the right person at the right time,” he says. But this knowledge has not been applied in this pandemic. Instead, everyone is being treated as though they’re high risk for severe infection and death and therefore need to take identical precautions. So, what’s really going on here?

The longer we allow the nation's economy to behave as if we were all in imminent threat of death, the more certain we will experience the unintended consequences of economic collapse. Not only unemployment, business failures, poverty and hunger will rise exponentially, but domestic violence and crime are sure to rise as well.

At this point, in my opinion, the best course of action is to only quarantine the most vulnerable people in the population--the ones that are suffering the most from the virus. That would be the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. Everyone else needs to be released back into the economy. Everyone else needs to open their businesses and go out and about into society. And since only the most vulnerable need to be quarantined, the quarantines must be voluntary, not mandated house arrests.

You cannot huddle in fear thinking that fear and ðŸ˜±isolation from others is the solution. It is not. That is not living according to the Simple Golden Rule. It is simply a slower form of death.

Empty Churches this Easter--Fractals of the Empty Tomb

The Simple Explanation has long spoken of fractals. Fractals are all around us, and they are not simply physical fractals. The Archetypal fractals identified by Jung play out in the stories that make up our lives--the "young lovers," the "woman scorned," the "mother and child," the "warrior," the "King," and other familiar characters enacting countless versions of the same stories, repeated over and over and over again.

We are currently experiencing a worldwide pandemic. This is another familiar fractal that is playing out all all levels. The world is the patient and it is sick. Each country is a patient, and it is sick. At the animal level of fractal iteration, many humans, many bats, some dogs and cats, and a tiger in a zoo, are sick. At the cellular level, many cells are sick--invaded by covid-19.
cross-section of covid-19
At every fractal level of this plague, entities are closing their borders to invaders. At the national level, borders close to prevent invasion of covid-19. At the institutional level, business close their doors to prevent invasion of covid-19. At the human level, we practice social distancing. We wash our hands and doorknobs to prevent invasion of covid-19. At the cellular level, our cells do whatever they can do to prevent covid-19 from entering their cell walls to implant their cargo of chaos.

The Easter fractal is playing out this year in a spectacular way. The churches are empty, as the tomb of Jesus was empty. This is not a sad story. Easter is about the triumph of eternal life over worldly death. The tomb is empty because the life-force cannot be quashed by the death. Our spirits, our Units of Consciousness in Simple Explanation terms, are more powerful than the physical constraints of material suffering and death.

The resurrection of the Christ is the fractal that tells the story of the triumph over death. Jesus showed us how it is done--the fractal of suffering, the fractal of being buried, the fractal of resurrection, the fractal of ascending back into the Universal Unit of Consciousness--these speak to all of our lives.

The empty churches are fractals of the empty tomb. This is good news! There is life on the other side of this pandemic, both for those of us who survive, and those of us who pass over.

A Simple Explanation of Covid-19 -- What is a virus?

Covid-19 cross-section reveals the coiled instructions.
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2),formerly a novel coronavirus named 2019-nCoV, is a single-stranded RNA virus, with strong genetic similarity to bat coronaviruses.
Do you realize that viruses are not alive? Viruses are aggregations of atoms that form distinctive molecules. A virus is nothing more than a molecule, the same way that iron or titanium or any other element made of particles and atoms is a molecule. In other words, a molecule of Covid-19 is as dumb as a molecule of sand.

Did you know you cannot kill a virus, because it is not alive? A virus cannot mate with another of its kind and make babies. A virus does not consume food. Viruses do not have cellular mechanisms or organs of any kind. All they are is a collection of atoms formed into molecular patterns.

Inside the outer layer of virus atoms lies the virus cargo. The cargo is a set of instructions made of RNA or DNA. The cargo of the virus is nothing more than information, in the same way that a thumb drive or CD carries information. And, as a thumb drive needs to be inserted into a device for the information to be useful, so too a virus needs to be inserted into a living cell or organism in order to be read.

Once inside a living cell or organism, the virus cracks open and dumps its information into the mechanism of the cell, where it quickly hijacks the cell's own RNA or DNA and forces it to make copies of the viral code rather than the organism's own code. The virus, in other words, is disinformation delivered to the cell that turns the cell into a viral replicator. The cell is then forced to produce copies of the virus that burst out of the cell and go in search of fresh cells to highjack or "infect." These newly minted viruses are called "viroids."

The hijacked cells within the organism's body, your body for example, stop doing their jobs upholding the organism's life, and do nothing but churn out defective code that goes on to infect as many cells as possible. Some of those viroids escape the host organism in the form of sneezes, coughs, sweat, blood, and feces. These viroids then roam about seeking new host organisms to infect.

If the organism's immune response kicks in, it disables the viroids and stops the spread of the invasion. In the case of a new virus like Covid-19, the organism's immune system races against time to study and learn how to defeat the never-before-encountered virus. Once it figures it out, it is then able to defeat the invader. If the organism, your body for example, cannot figure out how to defeat the invader, viroids spread throughout the body and to others outside the body until the host organism can no longer do its job of sustaining life. When the virus hijacks so many cells that the host organism can no longer effectively function, it dies.

In the "As above, so below" method of interpreting events, a viral infection is like a zombie invasion, or a vampire attack. The zombie master or vampire is not a living being. It preys upon living creatures by attacking and injecting malicious code into the victim. It sucks the life force from its victims and enlists them against their will in its ongoing campaign to survive and spread.

Going one step further, we can liken the invading virus to a zombie master who rapes and impregnates its victim and forces it to produce zombie offspring.

Here we have a group of spring-break party-goers spreading Covid-19.
The Simple Explanation would say that viruses do not level up to form new governing units of consciousness. A virus is not an aggregation of consciousness in the normal sense. A virus is, in fact, disinformation as opposed to information. A virus does does not contain a zero-point torus that links into the universal unit of consciousness. A virus does not operate according to the Simple Explanation's Golden Rule of cooperation for the greater good.

Units of consciousness are "mud up, spirit down." A virus is only "mud." There is no animating spirit. It is not part of the life force of the universal unit of consciousness. It is a kind of anti-life force.

A virus is selfish; it only wants what is best for itself. It only wants to replicate itself; it cannot contribute to the greater good of the organism or society. A virus does not fit into the hierarchical scheme; rather, it is a physical manifestation of entropy, or destruction. For without the ability to build cooperatively with others of its kind, a virus cannot add to more complex constructions, only to destruction. If the viruses were to infect every living thing and were not overcome by living forces, the end result would be the destruction of all life in the cosmos. The only remaining forces would be atomic and molecular.
