Bagel-shaped Protons

I'm sorry I haven't been able to write much lately. This is our busy season here at the Albion Inn and my innkeeping duties prevent me from sitting at the computer long enough to get an article out. But every once in a while we have a guest here at the inn that somehow furthers the Simple Explanation along, either through discussions with me, or through some other means.

We had a physics professor staying here at the Albion Inn last week. He and his wife were amused to see the torus on my Simple Explanation business card. It happens to be the same torus drawing as the illustration below. Turns out this professor, Gerald Miller, demonstrated back in 2003 that some protons are toroidal. The others, he said, were spherical. I asked him if it was possible that the spherical protons were actually toroidal. He said, "no." But then I asked him if the spherical protons might not look spherical on the outside, but possess toroidal flow energies within their borders. He said, "yes, that could be the case."

In the subatomic world, nothing is simple. Take the proton, a fundamental particle found in the nucleus of every atom. For decades, students have been taught to picture the proton as a nice round ball, like a miniature planet. But no: The latest computer simulations show the particles can resemble peanuts, beehives, even bagels.

Protons are complicated because they are composites of three smaller bits, called quarks, that zip around inside at roughly half the speed of light. "Quarks cannot escape from the proton. When they come to a wall, they turn around and change their direction," says theoretical physicist Gerald Miller of the University of Washington. Bouncing around gives the proton a net angular momentum. Using a mathematical model based on studies from particle accelerators, Miller showed how a proton's internal momentum affects its shape. Fast quarks that spin in the same direction as the overall proton distort it into a peanut, while quarks that have opposite spin breed bagels. Proton shape-shifting probably influences subatomic interactions in ways that are not yet known. Nobody understands exactly how the momentum inside a proton keeps changing. "All we can say is that sometimes it is large and sometimes small, and every proton can fluctuate instantly from one shape to another," Miller says.

I just love how the universe brings all good things to me. Even our guests are special.

Is Gravity a Toroidal Force?

What is gravity? Whence does it originate?

It occurs to me that gravity could be the attractive force of the outside of the toroidal shell that transmits our fractal consciousness.

In the diagram below, the yellow arrows pointing inward have been identified by the Simple Explanation as "coherence," or "love." At the very large level of the Universal UC, this force of coherence extends into our universe as the force that contains our space/time continuum and that ultimately draws the multiplicity of fractal UCs back to itself. 

At the very small level of material instantiation, this inward force of cohesion feels like a "pull," drawing anything outside itself toward the surface of its shell. This is the same fundamental force that contains, at the very large scale, or pulls, at the very small scale, always seeking reunification of the diverse manifestations.

Every UC carries this inward toroidal force. When groups of UCs "hold hands" to work together to build larger/more complex manifestations, this force helps them hook up with each other, coherence. This inward force would be additive, so the more aggregates clumped together, the stronger the "gravity."

Let's talk this over. Could this inward force be gravity? Wouldn't it operate empirically the way gravity operates, and affect those around it the same way  gravity is said to affect time and space? What am I missing here?

Quantum Entanglement and Karma

Matter behaves differently at the very small level than it does at our ordinary, visible level. At the smallest levels of material instantiation, two objects can be "entangled," meaning that what happens to one object affects what happens to its partner. For quantum particles to be entangled, they must both have been part of the same larger system/object at one time. When the larger object to which they both belonged no longer holds its integrity, its parts are no longer physically yoked. These now freed quantum particles may relocate to entirely different places in the universe, but they never forget their original family, so what happens to their previous family members continues to affect them. That's a simple explanation of quantum entanglement.

Quantum superposition refers to the universe's unending balancing act that preserves perfect poise amongst entangled quanta. So let's say you have a pair of entangled photons and that these two photons know how to spin right and left. What happens with superposition is this: if you cause entangled photon A to spin to the right, photon B will, of its own accord, and without you touching it, spin to the left. 

This quality of superposition makes "action at a distance" possible because you don't have to do anything at all to photon B to make it do something. You only have to affect photon A.

Furthermore, it turns out that if A is entangled with B, and B becomes subsequently entangled with C, then A and C are now also entangled. This is known as entanglement swapping. You can read more about it at the wikipedia article on Quantum teleportation.

The new field of quantum computing takes advantage of these properties of entanglement to transfer and store information. In quantum computing, entangled particles are created by blasting apart their family unit and trapping the subsequent quanta in a computer matrix, called a "register." The quanta trapped in the register then respond to stimulation and perform calculations (i.e. make choices).

The principle behind teleportation works off these same principles: it is possible, theoretically, to prompt changes amongst entangled objects, so that it appears as though information or an object has "travelled" from one place to another. But nothing travelled anywhere. It is the relationship amongst the entangled objects that causes manipulations at A to result in predictable changes in B and C.  

Quantum Superposition refers to the fact that entangled objects will not reveal their superposition outcomes until one of them makes a choice when prodded to do so ("observed"). Up until that choice point, either one of the entangled pair may be the one to, for example, spin right, which would force the other to spin left to maintain universal balance. If, on the other hand, the object was made to spin left, then its entangled partner would be the one to spin right. Quantum Superposition is the attribute of open-endedness prior to the prompted choice.

Here we can see a dynamic mechanism for karma. The Simple Explanation suggests that physical manifestation is simply a fractal order of magnitude step-up from dynamic patterns which are themselves fractal step-ups from the universal Unit of Consciousness. Sub-atomic quanta share these energetic patterns of the very small.

The Simple Explanation's definition of karma is this:

"Karma is the mechanism through which the consequences of behavior inform future potential. Karma is a force of influence that arises out of the decision-making history of every unit of consciousness in the universe. Each UC generates its own karma. We are all affected by one another’s karma. The more a unit of consciousness has in common with another UC, the more it is affected by the other’s karma. Our aggregate karma affects all of creation."

To this definition we can now add quantum entanglement:  Your actions affect not only you, they affect me to the extent we are "entangled." And, because of entanglement swapping, not only am I affected by you, but so is everyone else who is entangled with me, and everyone else entangled with them. And so on, and so on, and so on.

And we are affected not only by actions, but also by each other's memes, which cycle into and throughout our shared transpersonal consciousness.

This principle is probably the reason why all separation is so difficult, especially divorce--"what God has joined together let no man put asunder." The reason is that we cannot separate what was once joined; when we do, entanglement continues, whether we are aware of it or not. Perhaps this is why divorce is so very sad when it occurs; what was once two became one; and once that happens, the bonds are never truly dissolved.

How about this? As we are all fractal replications of the Universal UC, we are in an entangled relationship with the Origin. This is why all UCs not only affect one another, but feel the pull of Consciousness. The continual cycling of information from the metaverse affects us all, all of the time. This is "information" in its truest sense--laying webs of consciousness throughout creation through principles of karmic entanglement.

It's fun to browse images of toroids on the web.  Here's a beautiful torus I ran across this morning:

"This artist's impression shows the thick dust torus that astronomers believe surrounds supermassive black holes and their accretion discs, like the one harboured in the nucleus of the spiral galaxy NGC 4388. When the torus is seen `edge-on’ as in this case, the visible light emitted by the accretion disc is partially blocked. However, the sharp X-ray and gamma-ray eyes of XMM-Newton and Integral can peer through the thick dust and see how the energy released by the accretion disc interacts with and is absorbed by the torus.

The Simple Explanation suggests that these toroidal forces energetically affect all manifestations of our universe--not just the very large energy centers of supermassive black holes. From an article here at the Simple Explanation:

Here are more toroidal-shaped astronomical features associated with our planet, solar system, and galaxy. The torus is a fundamental shape that gives rise to observable distributions of matter and energy throughout our universe.

Note how the gamma ray bubbles emanating from the plane of our Milky Way manifest the same forces acting upon the torus on the large scale as the sub-atomic cloud labeled "3d m+0" in the "Quantum Clouds" plate above.

Can you see the gamma ray bubbles' resemblance to the cross-section of the torus below? You may also notice that the white line I call the "pole" of the toroid, which is the only straight line able to pass through a singularity at the center of the torus shape, is also the plane of the Milky Way in the image above.  

This quick visual examination of the very small alongside the very large suggests there is no need for a theoretical schizm between the physics of the small and large. Is it possible that the mathematics needed to unite Newtonian physics with Quantum physics lies in a simple toroidal fractal formula?

The Fractal Roots of Consciousness



As explained in the articles, "My Self, the Governor of Whoville" and "A Simple Fractal Model of the Conscious Universe," my Self's Unit of Consciousness (UC) is sitting atop a veritable fractal galaxy of hierarchically arranged Units of Consciousness, all working together to instantiate my body. While I may believe I am the only conscious soul inhabiting this body of mine, my physical body is actually home to all of these aggregated UCs, each with their own job to perform, each living their own lives and laying down their own karmic record. Within the confines of my skin, countless UCs of varying levels of complexity work together to keep my body alive and fully functional. At each descending level of complexity, from my governing Self UC down through the organ systems, organs, cells, molecules, atoms, and quanta, my body's UCs deal with increasingly simpler tasks even as the matter associated with them becomes smaller and more numerous. The simplest and most numerous level of materially instantiated consciousness is associated with the quantum foam that forms at the finest fractal edge between matter and energy.

As the roots of a plant send out finer and finer tendrils at each level of fractal branching, our hierarchically arranged aggregate UCs nest closer and closer to the Original Source Code--the Universal UC--at their simplest and most numerous levels. Whereas the concerns of the world often obscure my Self UC, the UC of a single sub-atomic particle or wave (anu), having a fairly limited view of creation and few choices regarding activity, is the least distracted by Ego and most attuned with its originating Source. At the deepest physical level of instantiation, the countless quanta that form the building blocks of our bodies are associated with countless undeluded UCs, all tapping their roots directly into the organizational source of our Universe ("Universal UC," "God," "Sat," "Original Source Code").

As I visualize the roots of Whoville, I visualize roots penetrating from my skin inward, finer and finer, to the depths of my material being. Within my body, all of my aggregated UCs drill fractally "backward" toward the zero-point field at our shared core. Whereas my Self UC may appear a long way off from God, especially if I conceive of God outside the Very Large, if I instead turn inward and "fall back," I am as near to God as the center point of Whoville's UCs. This is a new way to interpret the practices of "centering" and "grounding." When ancient teachings speak of God residing in the hearts of man, this Simple Explanation suggests the heart may be interpreted as the shared zero-point field at the shared center of our fractal Units of Consciousness.

4 One Simple Model (expanded)

Sustaining the matter in this universe requires an uninterrupted stream of organization and intention funneling inward from the spherical border that separates our space and time from the metaverse at large. Like pure potential pouring down the gravitational well of a great black hole, our possible futures become increasingly limited as they funnel toward the crucible of here and now at the heart of creation. Here and now, all potentials collapse as only one course of action is realized.

The Metaverse ("Outside" our Universe)

We can think of this wireframe version of the toroid as the idealized mathematical blueprint imagined by the metaversal consciousness prior to creation. The toroid is a doughnut shape, with a zero-point-sized hole at the middle of the doughnut, between the funnel points.

This chalk drawing is the same view as the wireframe toroid. For the purposes of illustration, the inner and outer surface of the doughnut's shell is yellow. We're seeing a cross-section of the inside of the doughnut. The blue is the field contained within the toroidal shape. Try to visualize these images as 3-D, not 2-D. The blue-colored inside of this torus is shaped like a tube--what is pictured as two blue circles are two sides of one blue tube encircling the white star.

Here is a top cutaway view of the toroid, looking down on the zero-point hole at the middle. I chose this particular color scheme because this is what people "see" when they look out with the "third eye" during meditation. From the top, it looks like a white/gold ring with a blue center and bright light at the middle.

In these chalk drawings, the black background represents the formless metaverse--the Undifferentiated Unity. The yellow shell represents what I call the "shape of God's mind" also known as the original unit of consciousness. This shell is not a material object, but a thought vibration. The area represented by the blue field is our material universe. The white center star represents the zero-point middle--called "Here and Now" in the Simple Explanation.

 
These chalk drawings also represent each and every unit of consciousness (UC) in our universe, as every UC is a perfect echo of the original UC.
 

The universal toroid is also the creative matrix of our physical universe. Proto-energy pours into our universe from the zero point at the center of our universal toroid, rushing into our space time continuum as quantum particles and forces. At the same time, at both the cosmological and quantum levels, proto-energy presses in from the outside, containing at the large level our universal space and holding it from the infinitude of the outer metaverse and, at the very small level, defining the outer edge of individual quantum probability clouds.

The expulsive force that explodes outward from the center of the toroid is the same as the implosive force that presses inward from the outer shell. In the drawings above, the implosive force (coherence; love) is represented by the yellow arrows and the expulsive force (proto-energy; Ananda; joy) is represented by the white star at the middle.

Here’s how it works: imagine the yellow arrows poking into the entire surface of the toroid—not just the outside spherical portion but from the within the funnel areas, too. Now visualize the surface of the toroid in motion, flowing out the bottom of the funnel, around the outside, and back through the middle (as depicted by the white arrows in these drawings). Keep in mind that, despite the cross-sectional views we see here, the flow is actually taking place along the entire outside spherical surface, flowing up and over the rounded hemispheric region and down into the increasingly constrained funnel, passing through the point at the center. As the inward-poking arrows slide over the lip of the funnel and begin flowing down into the funnel, the inward-from-rim-toward-center direction flips over to become the center-pointing-outward direction.

Not only does the cohesive, inward force now appear to be a repulsive, outward force, the force itself is compressed from that generated over the entire spherical surface to a tremendously concentrated, singular point exploding outward in all possible directions into the interior of the toroid.

The Simple Explanation proposes that this extremely concentrated proto-energy is held in suspension at the zero point of the universal torus, exploding outward into our material universe as the originator of the fundamental forces of physics. These forces are shaped and directed by the proto-shape of the torus itself, which is the organizational framework for the fundamental particles.

Nesting Toroidal Space--Part 3

First, please read the "Start Here--Basic Principles" on the right side of the screen.

Let's tie some previous diagrams and concepts together.

This universe in which we dwell, and every thing in it, is "shaped" like a toroid.

This is because the Organizing Force at the top of our universal hierarchy is (mathematically) "shaped" like a toroid. 

The proto-Unit of Consciousness that has imprinted its pattern upon our universe is what people of all faiths call "God." People who are not inclined toward spiritual pursuits may reject the label of an all-powerful God but still accept the impersonal Organizing Force as a mathematical concept.

Every thing in this universe is a conscious, vibrational echo of the original Unit of Consciousness. 

 

At the immaterial level, all units of consciousness in our universe are "standing" in the same "no-place." This immaterial "place" is nestled within the originating Unit of Consciousness (God's Mind).

This drawing depicts the toroidal shape of God's Mind as the outer yellow shell, and the secondary units of consciousness, UCs, as the peach-colored layer just inside. Proto-energy flows from the middle outward; coherence/love presses from the yellow shell inward. 
The blue space inside this universal toroid represents everything we consider to be part of our universe -- our ordinary 3 dimensions plus time.

When the consciousness of a secondary UC is in phase with the Universal UC at the zero point of Here and Now, joy and bliss are experienced. In a human, that phase alignment is experienced during numinous experiences like advanced meditation, ecstatic prayer, and other Divine encounters. Here is a drawing of a human's UC in phase with God's UC, with Chakra 4--Heart/Love--at the zero point of Here and Now.

 

The appearance of time and space, fundamental particles and forces, and dynamic spiritual-emotional-karmic patterns arise from the toroid's shape. 

Things look quite different at the material level. Rather than focusing on the toroid of the originating UC, we perceive our universe from the the very smallest toroids--elementary particles and fundamental forces released into our universe at the time of the Big Bang. 

The building blocks of our physical universe are tiny quantum clouds shaped like toroids. These tiny toroids combine at the microscopic level to form all of the variety we see around us. Larger toroidal forces shape the larger cosmological features of our universe.

Humans are comprised of both lower, physical UCs, and an individualized Self UC. Our material/spiritual perception crossover appears to happen at the 4th chakra, or the consciousness of love. It is there that phase alignment with God may occur and the immaterial nature of the Self discovered.

 

 The human bio-energetic aura can be described as a series of nesting toroids. These will be further explained in a future article. In the aura drawing above, the white 7th chakra maps to the peach-colored shell of the drawing below.

Here is a human Unit of Consciousness with its associated material instantiation.

When this person's UC is in phase with the Universal UC, then this person's toroid "grows" into phase with the Universal UC and is no longer a human-sized toroid but as "big" as the universe.
